He married three times. He married Artimizza Brooks. (Artimizza Brooks is #47.) Artimizza became the mother of Henry Evans 1842. He married Eliza Tatum. (Eliza Tatum is #175.) He married Malinda Emmons. (Malinda Emmons is #176.)

At 15 years of age Josephus became the father of Henry Evans 1842.
