7. William2 Hughes (Tom1) (#40) was born 1854. William died 1940 in Pioneer La, at 86 years of age. His body was interred 1940 in Pioneer La, Bayou Macon Cemetary.

He married three times. He married unknown Chapman in Simpson County Ms. (unknown Chapman is #226.) Unknown became the mother of Laura Hughes in Mississippi. Unknown became the mother of Jessie Hughes in Mississippi. Unknown became the mother of George Hughes in Mississippi. Unknown became the mother of Sylvester Hughes in Mississippi, September 20, 1896. He married Fannie Dye in Simpson County Ms, 1902. (Fannie Dye is #225.) Fannie became the mother of Ida Hughes in Mississippi. Fannie became the mother of Vida Hughes in Mississippi. He married Mary Dye in Simpson County Ms, 1905. (Mary Dye is #41.) Mary was born in Simpson County Ms 1889. Mary was the daughter of George Dye and Martha Chapman. Mary died 1985 in Lake Providence La, at 96 years of age. Mary became the mother of Odell Hughes in Mississippi. Mary became the mother of Elmer Hughes in Mississippi. Mary became the mother of Viola Hughes in Mississippi. Mary became the mother of Leon Hughes in Pioneer La. At 19 years of age Mary became the mother of Velma Hughes in Simpson County Ms, February 19, 1909. At 36 years of age Mary became the mother of James C. Hughes in Pioneer La, February 7 1926.

William became the father of Laura Hughes in Mississippi. William became the father of Jessie Hughes in Mississippi. William became the father of George Hughes in Mississippi. William became the father of Ida Hughes in Mississippi. William became the father of Vida Hughes in Mississippi. William became the father of Odell Hughes in Mississippi. William became the father of Elmer Hughes in Mississippi. William became the father of Viola Hughes in Mississippi. William became the father of Leon Hughes in Pioneer La. At 42 years of age William became the father of Sylvester Hughes in Mississippi, September 20, 1896. At 54 years of age William became the father of Velma Hughes in Simpson County Ms, February 19, 1909. At 71 years of age William became the father of James C. Hughes in Pioneer La, February 7 1926. In 1912, William W. Hughes moved from Mississippi to Louisiana to farm for Randle Vining. In 1916, he moved to a farm called Lone Jack. It was reported to have been won in a card game by Mr. Vining with a lone jack. This farm was approximately six miles west of Forest Louisiana.

Leon served in the military in Europe, WWII.

16 ix. Velma Hughes (#39) was born in Simpson County Ms February 19, 1909. She married twice. She married James (Jim) Centers in Pioneer La. (James (Jim) Centers is #38.) James was born in Pioneer La March 20, 1904. James was the son of Buck Centers and Ruth Rodrigues. James died May 30, 1935 in Pioneer La, at 31 years of age. Jim blamed himself for the death of his daughter, Mary Ruth. He had put a loaded gun down where she could reach it. He shot himself within minutes after Mary Ruth was shot.

His body was interred May 1935 in Pioneer La, Bayou Macon Cemetary. At 22 years of age James became the father of Mary Ruth Centers in Pioneer La, August 30, 1926. At 24 years of age James became the father of Buck Centers in Pioneer La, 1928. Buck and Bill were twins Who died shortly after birth.

At 24 years of age James became the father of Bill Centers in Pioneer La, 1928. Bill and Buck were twins who died shortly after birth.

At 26 years of age James became the father of Laura Edna Centers in Pioneer La, August 31, 1930. At 29 years of age James became the father of Marie Centers in Pioneer La, 1933. (See James (Jim) Centers for the continuation of this line.) She married William Connell. (William Connell is #118.) William became the father of Elizabeth Connell 1936. William became the father of Paul D. Connell in Pioneer La, 1939. William became the father of Mary H. Connell 1951. (See William Connell for the continuation of this line.)

At 17 years of age Velma became the mother of Mary Ruth Centers in Pioneer La, August 30, 1926. At 19 years of age Velma became the mother of Buck Centers in Pioneer La, 1928. Buck and Bill were twins Who died shortly after birth.

At 19 years of age Velma became the mother of Bill Centers in Pioneer La, 1928. Bill and Buck were twins who died shortly after birth.

At 21 years of age Velma became the mother of Laura Edna Centers in Pioneer La, August 31, 1930. At 24 years of age Velma became the mother of Marie Centers in Pioneer La, 1933. At 27 years of age Velma became the mother of Elizabeth Connell 1936. At 30 years of age Velma became the mother of Paul D. Connell in Pioneer La, 1939. At 42 years of age Velma became the mother of Mary H. Connell 1951.
