6. James (Jim)³ Centers (Buck², Unk¹) (#38) was born in Pioneer La March 20, 1904. James died May 30, 1935 in Pioneer La, at 31 years of age. Jim blamed himself for the death of his daughter, Mary Ruth. He had put a loaded gun down where she could reach it. He shot himself within minutes after Mary Ruth was shot. His body was interred May 1935 in Pioneer La, Bayou Macon Cemetary.

He married Velma Hughes in Pioneer La. (Velma Hughes is #39.) Velma was born in Simpson County Ms February 19, 1909. Velma is the daughter of William Hughes and Mary Dye. At 17 years of age Velma became the mother of Mary Ruth Centers in Pioneer La, August 30, 1926. At 19 years of age Velma became the mother of Buck Centers in Pioneer La, 1928. Buck and Bill were twins Who died shortly after birth.

At 19 years of age Velma became the mother of Bill Centers in Pioneer La, 1928. Bill and Buck were twins who died shortly after birth.

At 21 years of age Velma became the mother of Laura Edna Centers in Pioneer La, August 31, 1930. At 24 years of age Velma became the mother of Marie Centers in Pioneer La, 1933. At 27 years of age Velma became the mother of Elizabeth Connell 1936. At 30 years of age Velma became the mother of Paul D. Connell in Pioneer La, 1939. At 42 years of age Velma became the mother of Mary H. Connell 1951.

At 22 years of age James became the father of Mary Ruth Centers in Pioneer La, August 30, 1926. At 24 years of age James became the father of Buck Centers in Pioneer La, 1928. Buck and Bill were twins Who died shortly after birth.

At 24 years of age James became the father of Bill Centers in Pioneer La, 1928. Bill and Buck were twins who died shortly after birth.

At 26 years of age James became the father of Laura Edna Centers in Pioneer La, August 31, 1930. At 29 years of age James became the father of Marie Centers in Pioneer La, 1933.

James (Jim) Centers and Velma Hughes had the following children:

11 i. Mary Ruth⁴ Centers (#162) was born in Pioneer La August 30, 1926. Mary died May 30, 1935 in Pioneer La, at 8 years of age. Mary Ruth either picked up a loaded gun or knocked it over. It discharged and killed her. Her body was interred May 1935 in Pioneer La, Bayou Macon Cemetary.

12 ii. Buck Centers (#325) was born in Pioneer La 1928. Buck and Bill were twins Who died shortly after birth.

13 iii. Bill Centers (#326) was born in Pioneer La 1928. Bill and Buck were twins who died shortly after birth.

14 iv. Laura Edna Centers (#10) was born in Pioneer La August 31, 1930. She married Henry Frank Tarver in Pioneer La, February 12, 1944. (Henry Frank Tarver is #9.) Henry was born Franklin Parish La October 15, 1922. Henry was the son of Allen Emory Tarver and Hattie M Evans. Henry died March 02, 1997 in Columbia Vicksburg Medical Cen, at 74 years of age. His body was interred March 05, 1997 in Vicksburg Ms, Green Acres Cemetary. At 22 years of age Henry became the father of Henry Edward Tarver Richland Parish La, March 06, 1945. At 23 years of age Henry became the father of Jimmy D Tarver in Mangham La, July 05, 1946. At 26 years of age Henry became the father of Evelyn Tarver in Rayville La, July 24, 1949. At 14 years of age Laura became the mother of Henry Edward Tarver Richland Parish La, March 06, 1945. At 15 years of age Laura became the mother of Jimmy D Tarver in Mangham La, July 05, 1946. At 18 years of age Laura became the mother of Evelyn Tarver in Rayville La, July 24, 1949. At 20 years of age Laura became the mother of Billy J. Tarver in Bastrop La, April 20, 1951.
